This node runs the Hermes control plane host-native on Windows — there is no container execution sandbox. Local container tooling (Docker Desktop / WSL2) exists but is not a Hermes execution boundary.

Canonical role

  • ✓ Canonical author and reviewer of fleet knowledge and capability state
  • ✓ Approves durable capability promotion
  • ✓ Publishes approved portable capabilities through personal-cloud
  • ✓ Does NOT inherit raw PC runtime/session state
  • ✓ PC lab results become canonical only after review/promotion
Nothing on this node is copied blindly from the PC lab. Every PC result passes through review and explicit approval before it becomes canonical or is distributed.

Hermes capabilities

Single local gateway for model calls (localhost-only), routing to public provider brands: OpenCode Go · Groq · OpenRouter.

Web search and page extraction via managed web services (no local search service on this node).

Managed cloud services via gateway: web extraction, browser automation.

Local voice services: text-to-speech (Edge), speech-to-text (local Whisper).

Local canonical workspace: knowledge, closures, audits, and authority records — authoring and review.

Approved portable capability distribution (isolated profile) — the Laptop publishes through it.
